Eng. William Mayar Wol

Eng. William is a South Sudanese and is the Chairman of Co ‐operative Bank of South Sudan representing Government of South Sudan. He is a graduate of Abu Haraz College of Agriculture El Gezirra University Medani Sudan and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Agriculture Engineering College, University of Alexandria University Egypt. He has been instrumental in the formation and development of Co-operatives in South Sudan.

Elizabeth P. Lugor

Elizabeth has been a member of the Board of Directors in both the Private Sector, State Government and Non-Governmental sectors with a focus on Strategic Management to enhance organizations effectiveness. She holds a BSc. Medical Biotechnology and Psychology from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Saint Mary’s University Halifax as well as various leadership trainings. She joined CIC in 2021 as an Independent Director.

Mr. Patrick Nyaga

Mr. Patrick Nyaga is the Group Chief Executive Officer. He holds a master of Business Administration from Strathmore Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (K) and a member of ICPAK. Mr. Nyaga has over 29 years of working experience mainly in banking and auditing. He has worked in various senior positions in banking. Prior to joining CIC Group Ltd, he was the Group Finance and Strategy Director- at Cooperative Bank of Kenya Limited.

He previously worked at Barclays Bank now (ABSA) as the Regional Head of Assurance and at KPMG (EA), with the main focus being the audit of financial institutions in Kenya and the region. He is a member of the Institute of Directors of Kenya and has undertaken training in several Corporate Governance courses including in Insurance Business.

Julius M. Ndugire

Julius holds a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Risk Management & Insurance option, a Diploma in Insurance (DipCII) from The Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and is a graduate of the Programme for Management Development – PMD 2018 from Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi & Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria, South Africa having undergone various Insurance trainings at College of Insurance, ZEP RE Academy &

He has held various positions within the Group and joined CIC in 2013 from UAP Insurance and is a current member of The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and a member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK).

Gail Odongo

Ms. Gail Odongo is a Member of the Board of Directors of CIC – Africa Co-operatives Insurance Limited and also sits in the Risk Management Committee.

She holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB), Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (“CPS(K)”).

She has vast experience in various capacities and industries ranging from Audit, Banking and Finance, Insurance and Legal. She is the Group Company Secretary and Chief Legal Services Officer of CIC Insurance Group Limited of Kenya.

Zachariah Chianda

Philip Kimani

Philip holds a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy from University of London and Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Accountant and Member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Philip has over seventeen years of experience mainly in the Insurance Sector. Prior to joining CIC Group, he was the Chief Finance Officer & Principal Officer for Jubilee Insurance Company. He previously held Senior Management roles at Resolution Insurance, WPP Scan group and PricewaterhouseCoopers where he began his career. He has a wealth of experience in Strategic planning, Investment management, Financial and Risk Management.

Boniface Mutuma

Boniface holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Nairobi and is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K). He is a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kenya and The Insurance Institute of Kenya. Boniface joined CIC in 2011.

David Deng

David is in charge of Life & Pensions at CIC and has over 5 years’ industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Art Degree from the University of Nairobi. He is also currently pursuing a Diploma in Insurance The Chartered Insurance Institute, UK and has previously worked as an Asst. Underwriter General Insurance having joined CIC in 2017.

Geoffrey Anavila

Geoffrey holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree (Insurance & Economics) and Master of Arts (Economics) from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University in India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Annamalai University in India and has attended various trainings from the College of Insurance, Nairobi and Reinsurance trainings from Africa Re.
Geoffrey has over 15 years’ experience spanning various departments within CIC.
